Eli Freedberg and representatives from some of New York City's top hospitality establishments present a highly-engaging, practical roundtable discussion. This hospitality industry roundtable is an interactive forum designed for you and your industry colleagues to share how your businesses are handling certain legal challenges.
Participants will be asked to collaborate and explore practical and out-of-the-box approaches to address complicated compliance issues. In addition, participants will explore challenges they have faced, sharing ideas and strategies that have proven successful. Topics to be addressed include:
- Minimum wage issues including the status of the tip credit in New York State following the elimination of the tip credit for employers covered by the Miscellaneous Industries Wage Order
- Meal break and call-in pay compliance
- Ban on cashless restaurants
- Issues with delivery service provider companies
- 80/20 Compliance
- How are companies adapting to the second year of New York State and New York City sexual harassment training requirements
- New York City anti-discrimination rules, including lactation room requirements, guidance banning discrimination based on hairstyles and impact of health inspections
- Predictable scheduling trends
