Effective internal investigation of discrimination, harassment, code of conduct and other policy violations is a critical component of employment law liability prevention. This interactive session will address strategies responsive to recent workplace dynamics, such as the #MeToo movement and the ongoing litany of high-profile accusations. Littler attorneys will also cover the following:

  • Considerations that impact effective internal investigations in the current climate
  • The investigator's role – where it begins and ends
  • Practical complaint “intake" strategies
  • Attorney-client considerations
  • Development of the investigation plan, including documentation
  • Witness interview and information gathering techniques

In this unique workshop-style session, participants will assume roles and play out a workplace investigation. Littler attorneys will then offer feedback and suggested response strategies to those scenarios.

Registration: 8:00 - 8:30 am

Program: 8:30 am - 4:30 pm

Cost: $390 (includes breakfast, lunch and printed materials)
