Selling A Home Care Agency – M&A Valuations and Important Employment Law Due Diligence to Conduct to Avoid Hurting the Deal

Tuesday, August 1, 2023

  • 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM PDT

The rising demand for home care has triggered a flood of investors – from venture capital and private equity acquisitions of some of the largest businesses to sales of individual agencies with 100 caregivers. No matter the size of the deal, valuations and issues that cause valuations to decline often take center stage or derail deals entirely. Home care agencies that are currently looking to buy another business, sell their business, or that may want to buy or sell at some point in the future, need to think critically about the timeline of a deal. For buyers, this involves deciding when in the process to perform due diligence and what due diligence to perform. For sellers, it involves taking the steps necessary – often before putting their business on the market – to ensure legal and operational compliance.

In this webinar, speakers from Littler and Pillar Health Group will:

  • Discuss what buyers are looking for and how they value businesses
  • Discuss deal timelines – How far in advance should buyers and sellers start working on a deal?
  • Identify key employment law mistakes and violations that are common in home care and that can hurt valuations or entirely derail a deal
  • Identify proactive steps buyers and sellers can take to maximize deal value
