Allison Papadopoulos’ practice covers a wide variety of labor and employment matters, with a significant focus on class and collective actions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) and counterpart state wage and hour laws. Allison has defended clients on claims surrounding employee classification, joint employment, meal periods and rest breaks, “off-the-clock” work, time rounding, tip credit, and other wage and hour issues. Allison also represents clients in employment discrimination litigation in federal and state court as well as before the Equal Employment Opportunity Counsel (EEOC).  

In addition, Allison’s practice has focused on labor management and union negotiation matters, including arbitrating union grievances and litigating matters before the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB).

She advises clients, including Fortune 500 companies, in the retail, hospitality, insurance, and energy industries, on a range of workplace legal issues, including terminations, severance agreements, workforce reductions, and compliance with state and federal employment laws. 

Previously, Allison was a law clerk in the office of the Hon. Mary Ellen Coster Williams, U.S. Court of Federal Claims, and the Office of the Public Defender for Montgomery County, Maryland.
