Devjani H. Mishra helps employers across industries solve their most complex workplace challenges. With more than 25 years of experience as both in-house and outside counsel, she brings a business-minded approach to all aspects of her work and has a long track record of success creating scalable and efficient solutions.

As a leader of Littler’s COVID-19 Task Force and Vaccination Working Group and a member of Littler's Leave of Absence and Disability Accommodation Core Group, Devjani has guided management through some of the most seismic changes impacting the workforce. Her experience ranges from addressing urgent health and safety challenges, to implementing organizational restructuring, to building and reinforcing corporate inclusion, equity and diversity (IE&D) initiatives.

Whatever the issue, she works with companies of all sizes—from startups to multinational corporations—both to address their immediate legal issues and advance their long-term strategic goals. Her practice includes:

  • Responding to requests for hybrid and flexible work, accommodations, and leaves of absence, including for employers operating in multiple jurisdictions with varying requirements
  • Strengthening corporate compliance programs, auditing employment practices, reviewing IE&D programs, and managing internal investigations
  • Planning and performing transactional due diligence, business restructuring and workforce integration

A respected leader on workplace management issues, Devjani is a regular presenter on employment law topics before the American Bar Association, the Practicing Law Institute and other national professional forums.

In addition to her advisory work, Devjani is also an experienced litigator and has successfully handled employment complaints from inception through trial in federal and state courts and before regulatory agencies. She works closely with clients to develop a cost-effective defense strategy and alleviate the business disruptions that litigation can cause.
