Janene Sohng represents employers on a diverse range of matters, including workplace safety, workers compensation premium audits and assessments, independent contractor status, wage and hour issues, allegations of discrimination and retaliation, garnishments, and state and federal tax. She assists employers in responding to audits and investigations by the Washington State Department of Labor and Industries and the Washington Department of Revenue.   

Prior to joining Littler, Janene was an administrative law judge at the Washington Board of Industrial Insurance Appeals and the Washington Department of Revenue, as well as a pro tem judge in King County District Court. She also has experience working for two global law firms where her practice focused on federal taxation and estate planning. In law school, Janene was on the editorial board of The Tax Lawyer and The State and Local Tax Lawyer.
