Joseph M. Carr represents employers in litigation and counsels clients on a variety of employment-related issues. Joe brings a collaborative and detail-oriented approach to his work and strives to secure favorable outcomes for his clients.
Joe represents public and private universities, as well as small independent colleges relating to the diverse needs of institutions of higher education. Understanding and respecting institutions’ principles and policies, he aims to achieve a balanced and workable outcome for the institutions he represents.
Prior to joining Littler, Joe was an associate in the higher education and labor and employment practice groups of a large NJL500 rated law firm. Before practicing, he clerked for the Hon. Robert E. Brenner, J.S.C. in the Superior Court of New Jersey, Ocean Vicinage, Law Division.
In law school, Joe served as executive editor for the Rutgers Journal of Law & Public Policy. He was a student attorney for Entrepreneurship Clinic and received the Rutgers Center for Corporate Law and Governance’s Corporate and Business Law Certificate for his dedication to the subject matter. Joe also completed a German Language Certificate at the Bergische Universität Wuppertal.
