Kelly Maloney Kachmarik is a member of the Littler CaseSmart® team and is based in Illinois. In her role as Program Manager, she contributes to the accomplishment of Littler CaseSmart goals and initiatives by providing financial oversight for the single plaintiff litigation matters managed on the Littler CaseSmart platform; ensuring successful client implementation and client relations; hiring, training and supervising Littler CaseSmart Counsel; and ensuring successful collaboration among team members.
Prior to becoming Program Manager, Kelly worked as a Littler CaseSmart Counsel and Team Lead, responsible for early case evaluation (ECE) and supervising the ECE Team. As LCS Counsel, at the outset of each single plaintiff employment litigation matter, she identifies and reviews pertinent documents, interviews relevant witnesses, and drafts ECE reports. In keeping with each client’s litigation philosophy, Kelly partners with the local Littler litigation team and assists in developing and executing strategies for effectively handling litigation.
Kelly has litigation experience in both state and federal courts. She is also a Certified Hearing Officer.
Prior to joining Littler, Kelly practiced litigation at a general practice law firm in Chicago. Her clients included prominent corporations, municipalities and individuals, providing her a broad spectrum of experience with contracts, negotiations and litigation. She handled all aspects of litigation from inception through and including trial as first-chair trial attorney.
Previously, Kelly worked for several years as a senior tax consultant at an international consulting firm. She served numerous well-known corporations, high-net-worth individuals and investment firms by providing tax consulting advice, tax planning strategies and compliance with both state and federal regulations. Her primary focus was servicing large hedge fund and fund of funds clients.
During law school, Kelly externed for the Hon. Wayne R. Andersen in the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois and worked in the General Litigation group of an international business law firm.
