Renowned Whistleblowing Defense Attorney and Workplace Investigations Pro Gregory Keating Returns to Littler in Boston
BOSTON (April 14, 2025) – Littler, the world’s largest employment and labor law practice representing management, has added Gregory Keating as a shareholder in its Boston office. Keating was previously with Littler from 2004 to 2015, where he was shareholder, chaired the whistleblowing and retaliation practice, and served two terms on the firm’s Board of Directors. He rejoins Littler from Epstein Becker and brings deep experience guiding employers through high stakes investigations, as well as complex whistleblowing matters.
“We are thrilled to welcome Greg back to the Littler family,” said Erin Webber, Littler’s managing director and president. “Greg is a seasoned employment lawyer and widely regarded as a top advisor in the whistleblowing and investigations space, helping clients develop comprehensive strategies when litigation arises while also creating robust compliance programs to proactively manage investigations and mitigate risk. He made a significant impact in establishing and growing our practice focused on whistleblowing and retaliation during his previous tenure with Littler and we look forward to his contributions as we continue to expand our capabilities and advance the firm’s strategic business objectives.”
Keating brings more than two decades of experience representing and advising clients on a variety of employment matters, particularly in the areas of whistleblowing, investigations and compliance. He has litigated a wide range of whistleblower cases and conducted high stakes investigations across the U.S. and abroad, leading and managing matters that involve cross-practice collaboration. Keating also helps clients avoid risk by developing and maintaining effective compliance programs, including reporting and investigation systems for a wide variety of workplace-related claims.
“As the volume and complexity of whistleblowing claims and investigations work continues to grow, Greg’s background, leadership and extensive knowledge will no doubt be invaluable to our clients in navigating a constantly evolving legal landscape,” said Asha Santos, Littler’s Boston office managing shareholder. “With strong connections to the Boston market, as well as a national reputation for handling high-profile investigations and whistleblowing claims, Greg’s return strengthens our capabilities both in Boston and nationwide.”
Keating is a frequent commentator and recognized thought leader in the areas of investigations, whistleblowing and retaliation. He has testified before the U.S. Senate on whistleblower protections and developing effective compliance programs and has authored numerous articles on related topics. Earlier in his career, Keating served for four years as a management representative on the U.S. Department of Labor’s Whistleblower Protection Advisory Committee.
“I am excited to return to Littler and work alongside an incredible team to once again leverage the firm’s unmatched resources and capabilities to help my clients navigate complex workplace issues,” said Keating. “I know first-hand how Littler’s platform and vast knowledge of every area of employment and labor law benefits clients in managing their workplaces and achieving their broader business goals.”
Keating received his J.D., cum laude, from Boston College Law School and his B.A. from Trinity College. He currently serves on the Advisory Board of the National Employment Law Institute and as an adjunct professor at Boston College Law School, where he teaches a course on whistleblowing and retaliation.
