INDIANAPOLIS/SAN DIEGO (June 10, 2021) – Littler, the world’s largest employment and labor law practice representing management, has appointed Alan McLaughlin as regional office managing shareholder (OMS) of the firm’s Indianapolis and San Diego offices, in addition to his current OMS role in the firm’s Denver office. McLaughlin succeeds Craig Borowski (Indianapolis) and Mishell Parreno Taylor (San Diego), who have stepped down from this position to focus on their active practices, as well as their roles in other firm committees and leadership groups.
“Al has experience managing multiple offices and is a proven firm leader. As OMS of the Denver office, I have had the benefit of experiencing his leadership and know firsthand of his many outstanding qualities as a business professional and as a lawyer,” said Erin Webber, Littler’s managing director and president. “With Al’s deep commitment to providing outstanding client service and his collaborative and team-oriented approach, I am confident that he will continue to elevate the firm’s presence in these key and growing markets. I also want to thank Craig and Mishell for their many efforts and look forward to their ongoing contributions on behalf of the firm.”
McLaughlin represents employers in a broad range of employment-related disputes at the administrative, state and federal levels, including before the U.S. Supreme Court and the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. He has substantial experience in discrimination and class actions, unfair competition and trade secrets, and arbitrations. Additionally, McLaughlin provides counsel and preventive training to ensure clients remain compliant with federal and state regulations.
“I am excited to work with the talented and diverse teams in Indianapolis and San Diego,” McLaughlin added. “Craig and Mishell have done an excellent job growing Littler’s footprint in their respective markets, and I look forward to building upon their efforts as we continue to deliver exceptional client service.”
McLaughlin is a member of the American Bar Association’s Litigation and Employment sector and has been recognized by The Best Lawyers in America© every year since 2012. He earned his J.D. from Vanderbilt University Law School and his A.B., summa cum laude, from Wabash College.
